Women stepping up for property careers at Colliers International
Tory Packer has been promoted to the position of Director, Investment Services at Colliers International’s Perth office.
The 28-year-old, who is one of just a handful of women selling investment-grade real estate assets in WA, joined Colliers International in 2010 and worked on a part-basis in several divisions while completing a double degree in law and commerce at the University of Western Australia.
After graduating, Ms Packer joined the Investment Services Division, working first on metropolitan sales before moving into CBD and West Perth investment-grade asset sales. In the past year, she has transacted property worth more than $150 million.
“Investment sales is a challenging area but it’s also a dynamic part of the industry where you work across all asset types and learn about property transactions from the acquisition and disposal aspects,” Ms Packer said.
Her promotion coincides with the Workplace Gender Equality Agency report which shows Colliers International’s Perth office has more women in key management positions than the industry standard and that in the past two years, there has been an equal promotion of men and women.
